Can I use the planning tools without paying?
Yes. The moving timeline, date tools, practical guides, and Local Starter remain free. Saved plans and entries stay in this browser. Complete adds account-backed synchronization and shared household workflows.
Does the price change at renewal?
No. Complete costs USD 79.99 each year, including renewal. There is no trial, introductory price, or planned renewal increase.
What does one household include?
The subscription covers one owner and one adult collaborator. Other household members can be name labels, not accounts. Everyone with access sees the shared household. There are no private compartments or extra country charges.
Which countries does US Expat Desk support?
US Expat Desk supports 28 countries. They are Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Israel, Spain, Japan, Bangladesh, China, France, South Korea, Thailand, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Turkey, New Zealand, Poland, Brazil, Singapore, Sweden, Panama, Greece, Colombia, Norway, Costa Rica. The four general planning tools work across the full set. Each supported country also has country-aware move planning, local time-zone setup, and a Country Watch view. Source depth and paid availability can vary by location. Complete is billed in USD.
What changes when a moving date changes?
Complete previews connected date changes before saving them together. Completed work, removed steps and manually fixed dates remain unchanged by default. Starter keeps its existing manual planning tools.
Are calendar reminders immediate?
No. A downloaded calendar file is a snapshot. A subscribed feed can update later, but your calendar provider controls refresh and alerts. Check event display, an updated date and a notification separately.
Does Country Watch tell me what to do?
No. It reports that an allowlisted source page changed. Open the original and choose whether to follow up. It does not decide what applies to you, interpret the change or change household dates.
What happens when I cancel?
Editing continues until the effective cancellation date. After cancellation, your cloud workspace remains readable and exportable.
How do refunds affect my workspace?
An approved full refund or chargeback makes Complete read only immediately. A partial refund does not revoke editing. Mandatory consumer rights still apply.
Where is my information stored?
Starter stays in IndexedDB in your browser. Complete stores authenticated workspace rows in Neon and keeps an offline cache on signed-in devices.
Can I export and delete everything?
Yes. Starter supports JSON export. Complete adds JSON and PDF exports. Account deletion cancels the subscription, deletes Neon workspace data and Neon Auth, then clears Complete device caches.
Does Complete work offline?
An already open desk can keep edits when your connection drops. Keep the tab open. Opening or fully reloading the app requires a connection. Queued edits survive a later online reload. Synchronization requires reauthentication, and connected changes need a fresh preview. Conflicts are never overwritten silently.
Who manages billing?
Paddle acts as Merchant of Record. Its hosted portal handles payment methods, invoices, and cancellation. Plan switching is not offered.
How do I subscribe?
Sign in to My Desk, choose Get Complete, and finish the secure Paddle Checkout. Complete opens only after a verified active subscription reaches the server.
