What date is a number of days from a date?
This calculator adds or subtracts a number of calendar days from a date you choose. Enter a starting date in MM/DD/YYYY format and a number of days, positive to move forward or negative to move back, and you get the resulting date. It counts every calendar day, including weekends and holidays, without time-zone conversion, so a 90-day window is exactly 90 days everywhere. Use it to place a follow-up after mailing a document, an end date for a stay, or a review before a lease ends. The result is free, stays in your browser, and can be printed or saved. The suggested date is 2026-12-15. It is the date you entered plus the planning offset.
Assumptions
- Calendar dates are user-entered planning values, not official deadlines.
- Date-only arithmetic counts calendar days without local-midnight time-zone conversion.
How the result is worked out
The start date is shifted by the number of days using date-only arithmetic. Month lengths and leap years are handled by the calendar, and no local time or time zone is involved, so the answer is the same on every device.
A realistic example
You mailed a renewal application on September 16, 2026 and were told to expect it back in about 90 days. Adding 90 days gives Tuesday, December 15, 2026, a sensible date to check on it if nothing has arrived.

Whole calendar days only, up to 3,650 in either direction. No business-day or holiday skipping. One date at a time; recurring dates are a separate planned tool.

Common questions
Does it skip weekends or holidays?
No. It counts every calendar day. If you need business days, count them separately.
What happens at the end of a month?
The result is an exact calendar day, so adding 30 days to January 31 gives March 2 in a non-leap year, not the end of February.
How far can I go?
Up to 3,650 days in either direction, about ten years.
Is the result an official deadline?
No. It is a planning date from your own inputs. Check any provider or government date at its original source.
